This review portrays a dynamic developmental trend in the teacher well-being literature in Asia between 1973 and 2021 using a descriptive quantitative analysis approach. A search of the Scopus database identified 168 journal articles across 46 countries and regions in Asia. This number of publications indicated a substantial change in the knowledge corpus, particularly during the pandemic, although overall production was still relatively low. Further results revealed diversity but an imbalance of research location, research type, research methods, data collection techniques, and research foci. A functionalist perspective may suggest that the knowledge base on teacher well-being is at a beginning stage. Recommendations for future research are proposed including cross-region collaborations, more developed research foci, using mixed-method approaches, high-quality qualitative research designs, innovative qualitative techniques, and diverse qualitative data collection techniques.

Teacher well-being (TWB) is essential not only for teachers themselves [1] and their schools [2], but also for the future society [3]. Although there are ongoing debates about the definitions of well-being, one early definition from the World Health Organization [4] seems to be widely cited: “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity” (p. 2). Taken from the positive psychology literature, Van Petegem et al. [5] defined TWB as “a positive emotional state that is the result of a harmony between the specific context factors on the one hand and the personal needs and expectations towards the school on the other hand” (p. 34). Studies in the field of TWB have been reviewed and the definition synthesized as “an individual sense of personal professional fulfilment, satisfaction, purposefulness and happiness, constructed in a collaborative process with colleagues and students” [6] (p. 102). Teachers have frequently experienced a wide range of changes, challenges, complexities, and adversities in their everyday lives. With increasing demands for academic accountability and academic emphasis, scholars and stakeholders have been keener to dig into what school teachers should give their priority to, such as improving teaching quality and student outcomes. However, teacher well-being is believed to have been sacrificed in the current priorities [7, 8]. Therefore, promotion of TWB has become one key solution to maintaining and enhancing quality education, as well as contributing to the sustainable development of teachers, students, schools, and even a society aiming to be a ‘wellness society’ which incorporates constant change and unprecedented uncertainties for a better world [3, 9].

A good sign is that studies on TWB have blossomed in the past two years. However, so far, the main contributors in this field have originated from Western countries [7]. In the absence of a critical mass of literature from other contexts (e.g., Asia), educational professionals, academics, and policymakers may have inadequate understanding of how TWB has evolved and is applied outside of the mainstream contexts (e.g., West). As a result, in non-Western contexts, there is insufficient knowledge and ability for policy decisions and practice within teacher training and for assessment means to be adequately informed. Globalization, within the educational research sector which includes TWB, has created a tendency to ignore the social-cultural environment that, importantly, can “act as a mediator or filter to the spread of ideas and practices across the global resulting their adoption, adaptation or even rejection” [10] (p. 304). The often-dysfunctional results of policy and practice borrowed from the West and applied to the East have already been proved [11].

Many practitioners in Asian contexts have developed a concern for well-being knowledge about, and support for, the teaching profession as TWB has been considered to have been sacrificed for the sake of quality education [8, 12]. Such a necessity has been stressed by academics who have concluded in their research that teachers lack adequate preparation in their lesson planning and are not sufficiently backed by their teacher and professional training programs to cope with the different well-being problems that they might encounter both personally as well as professionally [9, 13]. It seems it is an appropriate time, therefore, for TWB’s knowledge base within the Asia context to be built upon and explored.

A genuinely worldwide knowledge about TWB would potentially inform and support teachers to cope with professional challenges which threaten their well-being, and help us understand how these affect individual teachers, classroom experiences, and schools, and identify possible solutions to support them. Perseverance, however, in the exploration of a research area through combining theoretical as well as empirical systematic examinations is necessary so that the gathering of relevant knowledge as well as discoveries in comprehension is enabled [14]. The tendency of employing stronger and distinct theoretical as well as methodological instruments in order for TWB to be developed has advanced over a period of time [15]. Conceptual instruments include explicitly elaborating upon as well as applying increased and varied theoretical frameworks within TWB research. Methodological innovations have been focused on using additional methodical methods in conducting studies. Through reviewing the various types of studies which are in existence within a certain field, this can be ultimately achieved [16].

There have been to date no TWB review studies conducted within Asian countries that have focused specifically on the ways in which trends have developed in research within this field. This reported review study, therefore, had the objective of seeking to reflect the designs of construction of knowledge in TWB and the topics that have been covered within the studies, the kinds of studies and methodologies employed especially within the Asian context from 1973–2021, and the ways in which researchers and scholars have developed and worked together over the last 49 years. Such an approach has permitted the designs of scholarly advancement within the Asian context leading to the widespread and historical expansion of the TWB field to be compared. This study’s findings will result in approaches for hastening development regarding TWB research and developing capacity, in addition to producing new knowledge [14]. The research questions prepared and delivered in this explanatory review are as follows:

Nutrients - Digital Art Insports Trumbull Industries Inc Reviews

Five aspects are of relevance in investigating TWB in the Asian context. The first relevance is that the construct of TWB is context dependent. McCallum and Price [17] argued that well-being “is something we all aim for, underpinned by positive notions, yet is unique to each of us” as it varies with “individual, family and community beliefs, values, experiences, culture, opportunities and contexts across time and change” (p. 17). Hence, teachers from Asia may hold a different understanding of their well-being compared with their counterparts from the Western contexts. As the research on TWB has been swamped by Western studies, investigations are required from Asian countries that feature differing political, social cultural, and organizational structures. These efforts can produce connections between distinct sorts of TWB as well as contexts.

The second relevance concerns the impact of TWB on teachers themselves, their schools, and society. TWB has been shown to influence individual teachers, particularly their professional values [18], meaning of work [19], their social relations [18], work contentment [20], lifelong learning [21], burnout [22], work commitment [23], and job performance [24]. Moreover, TWB has played a vital role in flourishing schools in the form of teaching improvement, student outcomes, school effectiveness, and educational governance [9, 13, 25, 26]. From a systemic perspective, teachers influence their students, which then affects school well-being and wider communities [3].

The third relevance is the alarming current situation of TWB. Recent review studies on TWB have revealed that teacher occupational well-being is at risk worldwide due to the high burden of the teaching profession, increasing academic accountability, challenging societal demands on teachers, and complex management mechanisms [7, 27, 28]. Teachers in Asia are not an exception and, possibly, the state of TWB there since the pandemic has become even worse. As technological advancements and digitization take over the modern world, the means of artistic expression have also largely shifted from traditional to digital. This transition has allowed artists more freedom to explore and create and reach a wider audience through the internet. There are endless possibilities when it comes to creating digital art, which can be both freeing and daunting simultaneously.

Art has always been a key part of human experience, from the earliest cave paintings to the grandest sculptures. It is a way for us to express our emotions, thoughts, and ideas and connect with others. In a sense, it is a universal language. The digital age has only expanded on this, giving artists new ways to create and share their work with the world.

How To Create Nft Art Without Prior Design Or Coding Skills

Digital art is a relatively new form of expression that is constantly evolving. It has already had a significant impact on the art world, and it will only become more prevalent in the years to come. As more and more people get access to technology and the internet, the potential for digital art only grows.

The world of art is one that cannot be explained with words. It exists in a place where anything can happen and has no boundaries, save for those imposed by creativity itself- an artist’s imagination guided solely by their desire to create something new.

Artists want to craft art that has been unknown before them or after themselves without any fear because what they are creating is a beautiful fiction that becomes its own reality all at once.

Epictetus, Stoicism Philosophy, Freedom Quote Digital Art By Jan Stefanica Art

Digital art can be defined as any type of artwork that is created using digital technology. This includes everything from traditional paintings scanned into a computer to completely digital pieces created using software programs. With so many different types of digital art, it can be hard to define it as one specific thing.

Freedom encompasses a lot of different things. For some, it might be the freedom to express themselves without judgment or censorship. For others, it might be the freedom to create whatever they want without restrictions. And for others still, it might be the freedom to share their work with a global audience. Whatever form freedom takes, digital art can help people achieve it.

The beauty of digital art is that there are no rules or boundaries. You can literally create anything you can imagine. The only requirements of digital arts are that you have imagination and your medium. However, imagination alone won’t take you far enough. You’d need tools to help you transform your vision into the physical realm.

Scream Of Freedom

With these three things, you can create anything your heart desires. And because there are no rules or restrictions, you can truly express yourself in whatever way you want.

This makes digital art the perfect medium for anyone who wants to express themselves freely and without restrictions. Whether you’re an artist, a musician, a filmmaker, or anything in between, you can use digital art to create whatever you want and share it with the world.

It is not a surprise that the evolution of art is highly interlinked to the improvements in technology. Modern tools have been giving artists endless possibilities to create previously impossible art. Anyone with a computer and an internet connection can be a digital artist. The barriers of entry are lowered and the playing field is leveled.

Stories About Nfts Entering The Realm Of Architecture

Net art appeared around 1993–1994. The first generation of artists who created internet art considered the internet a new space to explore. They were interested in the internet's possibilities for art-making and distribution.

In 1998, The Shredder project was headed by Mark Napier. Here he wanted to explore and understand the boundaries of the internet and technology by turning web pages into digital confetti. Another artist associated with the Net.Art is Vuk Cosic. He tried generating images using ASCII coding.

The early years of Net.Art was more about punk spirit and anonymity. During this time, no one cared about who you were or where you came from. This is what attracted many young artists.

Tongue Hi Res Stock Photography And Images

Post-internet art appeared around the mid-noughties. The artists of this generation grew up with the internet and took it for granted. For them, the internet was not a new frontier to explore but a given reality. The era of social networks has come.

Artists started using images and materials from the internet in their work. They were also more interested in engaging with their audience and creating pieces that could be shared online.

Post-internet art started around the Nasty Nuts surf club and a group of friends who graduated from prestigious art schools. Their art revolved around web culture, acidic colors, layers, low-fi aesthetics, techniques like copy and pasting, and popular tools like Photoshop.

Minimalism is characterized by its simplicity and use of clean lines. The focus is on the essentials and the elimination of anything superfluous. Images usually have restrained compositions and pastel and muted colors.

Surrealism was inherited from Dali and Magritte. Surrealist digital art is characterized by the use of unexpected juxtapositions, dream-like images, and distorted realities.

This category is all about creating images that look incredibly realistic. Hyperrealistic images usually emphasize their attention to oddities. The artists strive to create works that are indistinguishable from photographs.

The Most Important Nft Trends You Should Know

From the name itself, futurology features art that envisions the future. This can be anything from space exploration to the rise of artificial intelligence.

Cyberpunk aesthetics are all about combining futuristic and dystopian elements. The goal is to create a world that is both advanced and nightmarish at the same time. This is often linked to the “Blade Runner.”

A new age often brings new challenges and new themes for self-expression for artists. It has become a challenge for artists to make their art look sincere and evoke emotions since criticism from the art world has become more present.

Lago's Nft Frame Turns Digital Collectibles Into Irl Art

For instance, Instagram is used by a lot of people to construct an imaginary life that looks perfect. As a result, some digital artists have started to create works that oppose this idea of perfection. They want to create something real and down-to-earth that helps users get over the feeling of guilt for their imperfections and inconsistencies. For example, on her Instagram a French-Moroccan artist Saina Saidi combines issues of feminism, physicality, and national equality in the form of colorful illustrations with meaningful texts in the captions.

The topic of sincerity has spread to the fields of new ethics — reflections on social issues, mental health problems, tolerance, self-perception, and coexistence in the digital environment.

If you experimented with digital art in the early days of home computing, you probably had something of a frustrating experience. The hardware simply wasn’t up to the tasks we could imagine, and many artists felt that it wasn’t worth the trouble. But those days are long gone – although sometimes working late into the evening, we all still get frustrated with our favorite program.

One of the best things about digital art is that there are so many ways to create it. Whether you love to paint, to draw or to work with photos, there’s a perfect program for you. As a result, I’m going to break down the programs in this review into three main categories: an overall ‘one-stop’ program, a drawing/illustration program, and a painting program. There are many more categories of digital art such as 3D modeling, texturing and video editing, but those are distinct enough that they deserve their own separate posts.

by far is Adobe Photoshop, thanks to its unbelievably rich feature set and powerful yet intuitive tools. It is unquestionably the gold standard when it comes to photorealistic image editing, but it offers even more beyond that. The basics are easy to learn but hard to master, so thankfully there is a huge support community filled with active and helpful users, tutorials, books, workshops, and videos. If you can name it, there’s probably a Photoshop tutorial in that format.

, the best program for you will be CorelDRAW. Almost as old as Photoshop, it boasts some of the best vector drawing tools in any of the programs I reviewed, and the latest version has a secret weapon for illustrators: LiveSketch. Easily one of the most impressive tools to be added to any graphics app in the last several years, LiveSketch lets you dynamically generate vector shapes as naturally as you would sketch with paper and pencil.

, look no further than Corel Painter. While I’m pleasantly surprised to be including two Corel apps as winners in this post, Painter’s success shouldn’t surprise anyone thanks to its incredible reproduction of brushstrokes and paint media. While it’s probably the hardest of the three winners to learn, the payoff is an incredible digital painting tool that works flawlessly with drawing tablets.

Hi, my name is Thomas Boldt, and I’ve been working in the digital arts for well over a decade. I first got my hands on a copy of Photoshop 5 in high school and combined it with my interest in 3D modeling and rendering to create a passion for all things graphical.

Free Digital Art Applications

Since then, I developed a passion for design, and graduated from the York University/Sheridan College Joint Program in Design in 2008. I started working in related fields even before graduation, and this experience has led me to work with almost every graphics program under the sun at one point or another.

Disclaimer: None of the companies mentioned in this article have provided me with any compensation for writing this article, and they have had no editorial input or control over the final review. That being said, I am a subscriber to the Adobe Creative Cloud program suite and use it regularly for my personal and professional work.

Adobe Photoshop is the undisputed leader of the graphics arts world, and with very good reason. Yet despite how it started out, Photoshop isn’t just for working with photographs. That is certainly one of the tasks that it excels at, but over the years it has added a huge range of additional functionality that allows you to create almost anything you could possibly want. If you like to dabble in a wide range of digital media or if you want to keep your creative horizons open, Photoshop is the best one-stop choice.

Innovative Technology For Digital Art

After 30 years of active development, the tools it offers are unparalleled, and some of the new content-aware editing tools almost defy belief thanks to their automated editing abilities. You can do everything from editing RAW photographs to creating stunning photorealistic composites to painting and airbrushing original artwork, and it has an impressive set of brush customization options for working with drawing tablets. Photoshop can also create and edit vectors, 3D models and videos at a frame-by-frame level, although these tools are not as well developed as you’ll find in programs dedicated to those tasks.

Artemis - Digital Art Programs For Surfaczoomable Digital Artemis Global Brigades

With all these tools to work from things can get confusing fast, but Adobe has done a great job of allowing users to customize the interface completely. It’s easy to ditch the tools you never use and focus on what works best for your current project, or even hide the entire interface so you can focus on nothing but your image. You can use one of their preset workspaces, or create and save as many of your own custom presets as you like.

The flipside to this impressive functionality is that there are so many features, even one Photoshop expert admitted that she would probably never have time to use them all. I can’t seem to find the exact quote, but it stuck with me because I have often felt the same way. As much fun as it may be to learn all the 3D and video editing tools that are now included, Photoshop’s primary job is working with still, pixel-based images.

The Best Digital Art Software For Creatives In 2022

But no matter what your project is, there will be plenty of learning materials available to help you develop the skills you need or answer almost any question. Some guides are even built right into the program, and there is a convenient search mode that allows you to look through a database of tutorials and other learning materials. If you can’t find exactly what you need, the incredible number of active Photoshop users will be happy to help out in any of the online forums dedicated to it.

There are many competitors for Photoshop, but nothing has been developed yet that can truly challenge it. There are other great image editors (as you can read about in the alternatives section below), but none of managed to combine the power, precision, huge featureset and total customizability that Photoshop has offered for years. For a more in-depth look at Photoshop, you can read the full review here.

CorelDRAW is actually one of the few graphics programs available today that is almost as old as Photoshop. It is a program specially designed for working with vector graphics, which makes it an excellent illustration tool. It comes with a full set of the tools you’d expect to find in any vector graphics program – various shape tools and a great set of pen and line tools for creating freehand shapes.

Best Digital Art Programs And Drawing Software In 2023

As with most vector graphics software, it also functions as a great page layout program, which allows you to quickly incorporate your illustrations into larger designs like posters and pamphlets.

The reason that CorelDRAW managed to edge out Adobe Illustrator in this category is an impressive new tool that was released known as LiveSketch. As you can see in this video, LiveSketch offers a whole new way to create vector graphics by transforming your sketching into vectors on the fly. You can modify and refine vector lines by redrawing them the way you would when sketching with pencil and paper, and it even learns your sketching style

The interface has decent customization options, although you’ll have to dig a bit deeper through the menus to find them than you would in some other programs. There are an excellent set of pre-configured workspaces, however, including one that is designed specifically for touchscreens, a ‘Lite’ workspace for new users, and one designed to appeal to users who have been coaxed away from Adobe Illustrator.

While Corel does a good job of introducing you to the program via helpful built-in tips and guides, you may find yourself wanting a bit of extra help. Corel has also developed a solid set of tutorials that are available on the Corel Learning Center to help you get up to speed. For a more in-depth look at CorelDRAW, you can read the full review here.

Corel Painter is another long-lived graphics program with 30 years of development under the hood, and it’s been refreshed in the new version of Painter. One of the biggest problems with it in the past was that computers of the past weren’t always up to the job, and so you’d wind up with brushstroke lag during painting. Those problems are a thing of the past, thanks to new optimizations and speed improvements – not to mention access to computers with 16+ GB of high-speed ram and CPU clock speeds of 4Ghz!

Painter is by far the best recreation of traditional artistic media in the digital world, and as soon as you get your hands on it you’ll understand. The sheer number of brushes available should be enough to keep you experimenting happily for days, as though you were suddenly dropped into a fully-equipped studio.

Creative arts therapies (CAT) provide a safe and creative environment for older adults to process life experiences and maintain personal growth while aging. There is a growing need to make creative arts therapies more accessible to the aging population, as many have limited access to these services. This need has been catalyzed by the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tele-CAT offers a possible solution. This study explored the experiences of older adults who participated in an online creative process of digital photocollage based on CAT. Twenty-four Italian and Israeli community-dwelling older adults aged 78 to 92 participated in this research through Zoom teleconferencing software. Transcriptions of the sessions and the art produced through the photocollage were qualitatively analyzed through Thematic Analysis. The findings show that the projective stimuli of digital photographs supported older adults’ narratives and engaged them in a more embodied emotional experience. Participant experiences involved artistic enjoyment within a positive and safe interaction with therapists. The creation of digital photocollages allowed the participants to process their life experiences and create an integrative view of their life, a vital developmental task in late life. These results point to the advantages and challenges of tele-CAT for older adults.

Arts And Design Led Innovation In Healthcare

Creative arts therapies (CAT) is an umbrella term for healthcare professions employing the creative and expressive process of art making to foster the psycho-social well-being of individuals [1]. CAT include a whole spectrum of disciplines, such as art therapy, drama therapy, psychodrama, dance/movement therapy, music therapy and poetry therapy, all of which foster the creative processing of emotions and experiences. The therapeutic processes are led by certified arts therapists and are grounded in the triangular relationship between the therapist, the client, and the art process and product [2]. As in other psychotherapies, establishing a safe environment and therapeutic alliance are central factors in the therapeutic relationship in CAT [3]. The aim of the current study was to explore the experiences of older adults who participated in an online therapeutic creative process of digital photocollage as a tele-CAT intervention during a period of social distancing. More specifically, we aimed to better understand how the nature of CAT can be integrated into an online format with older adults.

There are several change factors in CAT which distinguish it from verbal psychotherapy [3]. During the creative process of art making, the physical senses are engaged through relationships with paint, clay, images, movements and sounds. This embodied sensual experience fosters the connection and the working through of emotions rooted in bodily experience [4]. This emotional awareness can be further communicated in verbal and non-verbal ways in the therapeutic encounter [2]. The sensory experience also involves pleasure and relief that makes the exploration of difficult content tolerable [4].

In the therapeutic process of CAT, symbols and metaphors are created and explored [5]. This enables individuals to succinctly craft their inner experiences and express their invisible dimensions [6]. The use of colors, shapes and bodily movements also facilitates concretization, the transformation of abstract internal psychological content into an externalized tangible artistic presentation [7]. Artistic expression, through its symbolic concrete language, helps individuals bring the subconscious into conscious awareness and to communicate it with the self and others [8]. This is also connected to the concept of aesthetic distancing, one of the main change factors of CAT, which refers to an individual’s ability to simultaneously be emotionally close enough to the artistic experience yet distant enough to cognitively reflect upon it [9]. Aesthetic distancing provides a safe space for observing and exploring the emotional experience during the creative process.

Art making is also based on spontaneity, which brings individuals closer to their emotions, thoughts, and imagination [10]. Spontaneity includes vitality, intuition, and the ability to accept each moment as it comes and to respond dynamically to it [11]. Spontaneity induces creativity, which strengthens people’s ability to look at a familiar experience from new and different perspectives [10, 12]. The literature points to an association between creativity and well-being indicators such as adjustment, optimal functioning, and the ability to respond adaptively to stressful situations and changes in life [13].

CAT are also action-oriented interventions that promote active involvement in the creative process, since the participants are actively and physically involved in the process of creating something visible [14, 15]. This process positions the participants in the active positions of “artists” and “creators”, rather than in the passive roles of “patients” or “clients”. In this way, CAT enable individuals to cope better with the stigma attached to mental health services, especially in older populations [16, 17].

There is a growing body of literature concerning the use of creative arts therapy interventions with older adults, and its effectiveness in improving various aspects of mental health [17, 18, 19, 20, 21]. The Dunphy and colleagues (2019) review showed that CAT can support older adults in dealing with depressive symptoms [20]. It pointed to various change factors in the creative therapeutic process that lead to its effectiveness in treating depression that include enhancing emotion processing, increasing social bonding, fostering creative expression and aesthetic pleasure. In addition, CAT for older adults affected physiological and cognitive measurements (e.g., by acting on neurochemicals such as endorphins, and stimulating memories).

The Role Of The Microenvironment In Controlling The Fate Of Bioprinted Stem Cells

Studies show that visual images provide a non-verbal means of expression in the therapeutic process with older adults. The ability to express oneself through these media is also important in cases of decreased cognitive functioning [22]. A review study underscored the efficiency of visual arts therapy in promoting psychological and cognitive well-being among older adults who suffer from decreased cognitive functioning [23]. Studies have shown that using visual images such as photography [24, 25], collages [26], drawing, and video recording [27, 28] can be effective when processing the memories and life stories of older adults. Studies have also shown that creative arts therapies support older adults in processing their life stories and unfinished business from the past [24, 29, 30].

Overall, there is a growing need to make mental health services accessible for older adults, since many have limited access to these services generally [31, 32, 33, 34, 35]. The COVID-19 pandemic with its social restrictions catalyzed this need and underscored the importance of supporting the older population in their homes [36]. Tele-psychotherapy increases the accessibility of mental health services. Thus, it is crucial to develop tele-CAT for the aging population that will make arts-based interventions more accessible, and at the same time maintain the creative nature of the therapeutic process in the online setting.

Tele-psychotherapy is a form of therapy that is conducted through a digital device, such as a smartphone, tablet or computer, by means of a videoconferencing application (such as Zoom, Skype, Meet) or via the telephone. Tele-psychotherapy can overcome some of the barriers that prevent older adults and the general public from turning to psychotherapy, such as physical limitations, lack of transportation, financial difficulties, and social stigma [37, 38, 39]. This is extremely important in the case of older adults whose mobility difficulties can lead to social isolation, which is associated with a decline in mental health [40, 41]. Sometimes, patients feel more comfortable when engaging in therapy from their homes [42]. Nevertheless, therapists have some concerns about tele-psychotherapy [43, 44], which mainly relate to the lack of user-friendliness with the software, difficulties establishing and maintaining the client-therapist therapeutic alliance, lack of confidentiality, and doubts as to its efficacy.

Despite these hesitations, studies show that tele-psychotherapy is effective in treating older adults. A randomized controlled trial by Shapira and colleagues (2021) showed the potential of a brief group online intervention to reduce loneliness and depressive symptoms in older adults during the pandemic [33]. In a recent study by Choi et al. (2020), tele-psychotherapy was found to improve social

For best results, you'll want the best printer for art prints capable of better colour reproduction and clarity than the average office printer. Ideally, it will use pigment-based inks, because dye-based inks don't look as good. You'll also want the option of printing in larger formats, and on heavier, fine art media.

The Epson EcoTank ET-8550 is the best art printer you can buy today. It really is a special printer that does everything you need, and does so with affordable running costs as one ink tank prints around 3, 400 pages (it comes with enough ink to get you started too).

The EcoTank ET-8550 is easy to set up and supports Wi-Fi, USB and Ethernet connectivity, and a mobile app enables you to manage prints and ink orders. It's the quality of the photo and art prints that really impresses, unlike standard printers that use CMYK the EcoTank ET-8550 also makes use of grey and deep photo quality black ink for prints that have real impact.

Best Printers For Mac 2022: Wireless Airprint Printers

The model recommended here is the ET-8550 which prints wide format 13" x 19 inch photos, though there is a slightly cheaper model, the ET-8500, which only prints 8.5 x 11 inch pictures. The ET-8550 supports A3 prints, too. If the price puts you off, consider the savings on ink, and this art printer also includes a built-in scanner and copier. I particularly like the compact design, too.

Short on cash? Then the best art printer for you is theCanon Pixma iP8750. This affordable device can print a bordered sheet of A3+ in full colour in around two minutes. And with five dye-based inks, plus a pigment black, the results are worth waiting for.

Plus, if you want to save more money, you can buy high-yield ink cartridges that cost you less than standard cartridges. That makes this one of the cheapest art printers to run, as well as to buy.

What Resin 3d Printers Are Available In 2022?

The Epson SureColor SC-P900 is one of the more expensive art printers on my list but you get a superb printer for your money. This art printer can deliver some excellent results, including panoramic prints to cut sheets up to 17 by 22 inches (though this requires a roll feeder that's bought separately).

Onboarding is a little mixed; the Epson SureColor SC-P900 is easily setup and comes with connectivity to Mac and PC, as well an on-printer LCD touchscreen to help you manage our prints. The only downside is the ink supplied with the printer won't last long. This is the only downside to a professional art printer that's actually nicely sized and suitable for home use.

The print results speak for themselves – photos and art prints are deep and colours rich and vibrant, as this printer uses an UltraChrome 10 ink system to deliver a vast array of tones – these inks are: Cyan, Light Cyan, Vivid Magenta, Vivid Light Magenta, Yellow, Gray, Light Gray, Violet, Photo Black, and Matte Black. (This does make the Epson SureColor SC-P900 a little more expensive to run than some on this list.)

The Best Large Format Printer For Photographers In 2023 - Digital Art Devices Printers Uk 2020 Canada

Best Photo Printers Of 2023: The Best Printers For Digital Prints

But if you're looking for professional results from your prints, and want them to last and not fade then the Epson SureColor SC-P900 is the best on this list, just be aware of the extra costs involved.

Here's another good option for great-looking prints at larger scale. The Canon PIXMA PRO-200 will cost you about twice as much as the iP8750 (number two on our list), but you'll get a corresponding jump in quality when it comes to colour reproduction.

This is a relatively speedy printer, too. It goes up to A3+ and even larger; it'll also do panoramic prints up to 990cm wide. It delivers lovely sharp prints that are dry almost straight away. And it's versatile; working with set of eight inks, it's capable of printing on anything from standard paper to heavier fine art media.

What Is The Best Printer For Photographers?

The Epson Expression Premium XP-6100 is a small, light and cheap art printer that is great for printing off photos and small art works. It's easy to use and incredibly quick, and for the money comes with some excellent features.

In our Epson XP 6100 review we found that it does the basics well – scanning, copying and printing– but also has pre-installed templates to help you get more from these features. It's best used as a photo printer but it can easily be used to print off art, though the compact size means you're limited to A4 prints.

Top Best Printers For Graphic Designers (April 2023) - Digital Art Devices Printers Uk 2020 Canada

The real downside to the Epson XP-6100 is the cost of replacement inks, which we worked out at around 16p a print, which is slightly more expensive than other printers on this list. So while the XP-6100 is cheaper upfront, it could be more costly in the long-run, depending on how much use it gets.

How To Print Digital Art (with Pictures)

For the price – sub $200 / £200 – the Epson Expression Photo XP-970 represents excellent value for money. It can print up to A3, features scan and copy functions and comes with an excellent app to control all of your prints and ink orders. As well as standard paper formats it features a rear tray for special or heavier paper stock.

The results are excellent, its six-colour printing process offers deep and rich colour pigments and while not the fastest it does print at a decent pace – black and white photos have a 8.5 ppm speed. It's compact but a little heavy for a smaller machine, but once set up and in place you won't mind.

The only real downside to this printer is the cost – while it's a well-priced printer for the quality it offers, the Epson Expression Photo XP-970 only supports Epson ink cartridges, which are expensive. It will also churn through ink too, so beware running costs are a little high. However, if you're printing 10-30 photos a month you'll be fine, anything above this and you may need to look at a more costly printer with lower running costs.

Hp Designjet Z6 Postscript

If you're mainly looking for an all-round office printer, but are likely to need the occasional art print, then the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 is worth checking out. Its main A4 tray is ideal for loading with ordinary paper for office work, while its rear feed can handle A3+ and heavier media for producing good-looking art prints.

 - Digital Art Devices Printers Uk 2020 Canada

With six dye-based inks, you'll get decent colour reproduction and contrast, although not at such high quality as other printers on this list. On the plus side, this printer is compatible with Epson's XL cartridges, which helps keep running cost low. We'd also suggest signing up for Amazon Dash Replenishment, which means printer will automatically order new cartridges for you when ink is running low.

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 prints at up to A2, and does panoramic prints up to 1.2m, which makes it the best art printer for large projects.

Best Tablets (2022): For Work, Play, Kids, Seniors, And More

It offers superb colour reproduction and sharpness via a set of 12 pigment-based Lucia Pro ink cartridges, with an additional chroma optimiser for giving work on glossy paper a smooth top coat. It'll produce an A2 print in around six minutes. And thanks to the high-quality inks the results are stunning, especially when using matte and fine art media.

This is by no means the cheapest art printer on our list. But if you want big, beautiful prints of your artwork, then it will do an exceptionally good job.

If money is no object, then the Epson SureColor SC-P5000 should be top of your shopping list. You can print up to A2+ and panoramic prints. I'll take the heaviest fine art media in its stride. And its print quality is quite exceptional.

The 2 Best Electronic Cutting Machines From Cricut And Silhouette Of 2023

The SC-P5000 has an internal colour calibration sensor, and that combined with a set of 10 Epson UltraChrome HDX pigment inks means that it can reproduce 99 per cent of the Pantone solid coated colour range.

This by far the most expensive option on our list, as well as the heaviest, at 52kg. But if you're printing exhibition work and high-end art prints for
